| Picture this, if you will, before we get into the apologetics. On a Saturday evening in the future, while on one side of town Christian rock concert was going on, and on the other church parishioners are singing hymns from a book, the Lord comes, as described in Luke 17:34-35. | Some in attendance at the rock concert will be taken, others left; some at the church will be taken, others left. In which group will you belong? What will matter at that time is not the style of music, what will matter is whether or not you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. |

Each time I replied to a page, I first sent a copy, usually along with a note, to the e-mail listed on the respective page (sometimes more than one). On these pages my words are in blue. The original text is left virtually intact, except in certain situations, most of which are noted. All Bible references are NIV.
Here is my e-mail address. All e-mails are read. I can't respond to every e-mail, but will try to respond to all expressing a need.
"It is fruitless to search for a single musical style, or even any blend of musical styles, that can assist all Christians with true worship. The followers of Jesus are a far too diverse group of people -- which is exactly how it should be. We need, rather, to welcome any worship music that helps churches produce disciples of Jesus Christ. We need to welcome the experimental creativity that is always searching out new ways of singing the gospel, and banish the fear that grips us when familiar music passes away." |
